Gribthorpe is a hamlet in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 8 miles north-east of Selby and 5 miles north of Howden. Gribthorpe forms part of the civil parish of Foggathorpe. In 1823 Gribthorpe, was in the civil parish of Bubwith and the Wapentake of Harthill.
We are now a diverse community of 18 homes with people of all ages and lots and lots of wildlife.
We all love solar in Gribthorpe and why not ? lots of us have solar panels but the huge invasion of solar factories on food producing farmland is becoming a problem.
Not to mention the impact to wildlife as well as the mental wellbeing of residents who are facing their rural communities becoming industrialised solar factories.
In Gribthorpe we are facing a 3000+ acre development on our doorstep.

Later in 2023 boom power will start a statutory public consultation on a landscape changing development of over 3000 acres which will isolate our local community and destroy lives but with your help and support we can object and minimise the impact to food production and wildlife habitat.
